Education
Bram Beekman studied organ at the Conservatory in Tilburg from 1967, until 1972, where he studied under Louis Toebosch. After obtaining several music diplomas, including the soloist diploma for organ cum laude (highest possible distinction in the Netherlands), he continued his organ studies with Anton Heiller in Vienna where he received the Prix d’Excellence (Prize in excellence) in 1975.In 1973 Beekman participated in the international organ competition in Brugge, during which he won the third prize. The competition took place within the framework of the Festival Musica Antiqua.
Roles in Tilburg and Middelburg
Since 1980, Bram Beekman has been an organ professor at the Tilburg conservatory. He was appointed organist of the Oostkerk in Middelburg, in 1997. He regularly performs concerts in the Netherlands, and abroad. He has made several radio and television recordings. (Examples of these can be found below.) In 2008, he performed at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, China.

Bach
Beekman completed an integral recording of the organ works by Johann Sebastian Bach, performed on fourteen different baroque organs in the Netherlands. The total is accumulated in nine double CD’s on the label Lindenberg CD Productions. He also recorded the complete organ works by César Franck, at the Cavaillé-Coll organ of the John the Baptiste Cathedral in Perpignan, France. This recording comprises of three CD’s. In 2009 he recorded some of Bach’s work again, namely the Orgelbüchlein, at the De Rijckere organ on the Oostkerk in Middelburg.
