Biografie
(Genève 5 maart 1915). Romanist. 1948-1951 hoogleraar in de Romaanse filologie te Groningen, sinds 1952 te Amsterdam, schreef o.a. een roman over de stormramp van 1953: Les hautes eaux (1958).
